The day after the 4th of July

We have been making some progress on all the little to medium sized home projects we'd like to finish before baby #2 arrives.  For example, I found a queen sized platform bed on craigslist for $50, arranged the upstairs to our liking, got a couple of those sticky pads for under rugs at Saver's (that I have yet to put under our rugs), baby stuff has been semi-organized, we made a super cheap patio in our backyard and got Amelie her very own twin sized big girl bed.  Photo proof...

The bathroom is finally done!
Yay for the bathroom!

Where we sleep, on our $50 bed.

The fantastic shower.

The nook.

Peeking into the bathroom.

Ami's big girl bed.  Just need some curtains in there!

Backyard before.

Backyard before.

Halfway done.

Done.
I am 38 weeks pregnant today, and I guess I could pretty much have a baby anytime in the next 4 weeks.  I really hope it's sooner than later, but I think I know better than to think I am going to go into labor early.  I'm feeling pretty large and everything is getting harder to do, but I'm hanging in there.  I think it's going to be a boy, but I guess we will find out soon.

The baby was transverse and breech for the past couple of months.  It was pretty much in every position that is not conducive to where I wanted it to be.  I did some acupuncture, lots of inversions, moxibustion and finally went to a chiropractor that does the Webster Technique...which finally helped baby turn.  It is now head down, I know this because I have to pee every few minutes.  Plus my midwives confirmed it.

My friend Cassie had her cute little boy this past Saturday.  She was a day over her due date, and they got to spend the 4th of July all together at home.

Brecken!
The strawberries I bought at the nursery up at the cabin starting producing fruit.  Not much, but I ate this little guy right after I took this photo.  I also have been eating some raspberries off of the bush I got for free on freecycle earlier this spring.  My 2 favorite fruits, right in my own backyard.

And now some Ami fun:

I let her have a blue sucker on the way home from Trader Joe's.  She made a huge mess with it.

I took her to do some toddler yoga.

She pretty much did her own thing the whole time.

Measuring daddy's bike
"Riding" in the pool at grandma's

Her first parade yesterday.

Ami and daddy waving to the parade folk.

Doing some dress up with my old jewelry.  As Tyler put it, she's wearing a lot of pretty!
