Pee, Potty.

There is so much snow, and it just keeps snowing. Amelie and I shoveled twice last week. Well, I shoveled and she smashed snow around all over the sidewalk. I'm not usually one to complain about winter in MN, but cripes. Enough already. I'm looking forward to spring and glad I have galoshes.

Amelie on the other hand LOVES the snow. Like I mentioned, her and I were outside shoveling last week, and I literally had to drag her back in the house. We took her sled up to the park and played on the slides, the swings, and the teeter-totter. She was trudging through the deep deep snow all on her own having a great time.

Also, last week, Amelie came strolling up to me and said, "Momma, pee, Potty." Brilliant. So she has been essentially potty training herself for several days now. I bought some really cute tiny little underwear for her. She's had some accidents, but she's got plenty of time to master the art of going to the bathroom on the toilet before baby #2 arrives.

She has been learning new words like crazy. She started saying Okay!, and Pull-Ups (she really likes wearing them), and we have discovered that she will repeat what she sees on TV. Luckily she mostly watches Kipper the Dog so she is saying funny things in a British accent which is double funny. I was trying to show her how to throw the peace sign on Sunday night, she hasn't quite mastered the gesture, but she says peace like a pro. Here she is in her new ballet outfit doing her version of the peace sign.

One last spectacular thing, is that the city inspector finally came over to check the insulation upstairs and said we did a beautiful job. In your face City of Minneapolis. Looks like there will be some sheet rocking going on this weekend. One step closer to moving our bedroom upstairs.

Booya!
