And...the toddler wins again.

Holy shit. Amelie did it again. She was "napping" but really not. She is so quiet and stealthy...she emptied every single one of her dresser drawers onto the floor, on top of all the toys that she had already dumped out of her toy basket. What I imagined happening in that very quiet room, was her spinning around super fast just like the Tazmanian Devil. The sheer force of her spinning ripped open the drawers and sucked all of the clothes out, the blankets and pillow from her bed, and the toys out her toy basket. I just don't see how it could have been done another way.

I haven't even finished cleaning all the friggen crayon off the walls yet.

I also noticed that the painting above her crib is now sideways. You can't see it in the photo, but it's true, the tell-tale crayon marks that used to be on the bottom of the painting are now on the side. How does she do it? She is way smart.

On the up side, I weeded out all her 18 month clothes, and cleaned out some of her toys in a way that would make my dad proud. He's famous for "cleaning" with large garbage bags. Don't worry, I didn't throw anything out. Just put them down in the basement to wrap and give her for her birthday. Just kidding. They are all summer time or outside toys. Or loud musical toys. She had 5 maracas, where did they all come from? We will bust them out again in a few months.

Anyways, thank goodness for Yoga. I'm totally digging the prenatal Yoga, except my old lady wrists hurt. And my old lady back.

Tyler, my dad, and his dad did some sheetrocking the last couple of weekends. It's real great that those guys are able to do almost all of the work. It may take a little longer, but it sure costs a hell of a lot less. Plus Tyler will feel all good about the blood, sweat and tears he put into it (he cries a lot)(just kidding, he doesn't). However, I cant fucking wait until it is finished. It will be a glorious master bedroom of rest and relaxation. Also, we will be able to do fun things on the weekends and will be able to get that big stupid yellow dumpster out of our front yard.

Speaking of how sick I am of the snow this year...melt already. I really do love wintertime. I like warm boots and hats and mittens. I like snowboarding and skating and sledding (although they are all things a pregnant woman may want to steer clear of), but come on. I've never wanted to be pregnant in the summer due to the fact that I hate humidity and sweating profusely, but I warmly welcome summer and all of it's ups and downs, even if I have to sit my large round pregnant ass in a tiny little kiddie pool to keep my cankles from swelling up in mid July. I will gladly wear my weird green galoshes all spring while the snow floods everyones basements and streets. Even Amelie has the proper footwear for the upcoming monsoons. At this rate, it will be July before all the snow melts, but maybe thats good, because I can sit in a snowbank and keep cool while Amelie plays at the park.

I'm not sorry for swearing so much.
