And, I love Amelie. I was showing her photos of Sam and Tyler today on the computer and she was getting so excited.

I also love the zoo, the spring and fall, going to the cabin, re-arranging things all the time. sushi, wearing aprons, growing plants, my fabulous friends and family, my iphone, biking and our Burley, my husbands never-ending patience, my ipod and all the music on it, everything doula related, and our neighborhood.

Oh, and pictures. Speaking of which, I cant WAIT to get our photos back from Katrina at Studio Laguna. I'm so excited!

MGMT

Love this band (MGMT). Love this cover of a great song by MGMT.

The Daily What

Who has extra tickets to Rock the Garden?

Wednesday!

My mom and I signed up for a 6 week bootcamp. The first 2 weeks were easy peasy. Week 3...more difficult. I felt pretty good today. Then we went to a Kettle Bell class that her and my aunts have been taking, and my shoulders are definitely sore. Good but sore.

You shoulda seen Amelie this morning eating breakfast. She demanded to be in charge, eat breakfast on her own terms. I just let her do it. It was so messy. Oatmeal and bananas. All over the place.

Also, I recently recalled that I downloaded Hipstamatic, a super cool iPhone App that takes old timey photos.

We ate steak and mashed sweet potatoes with a great salad tonight. It's day 2 of our delicious healthy locally grown meals. Yesterday we had Wild Rice Casserole with Leeks, Asparagus and Mushrooms. Tomorrow we are going to go to the Nicollet Mall Farmers Market Downtown, and to pick up our farm order from our old neighbor.

Food Inc.

Have you seen Food Inc? It was on TV the other night, I couldn't stop watching. It was so gross. I can't believe I have been eating that food.

You've gotta watch it.

Then watch Super Size Me.

After that, check out this link my friend sent me about McDonalds Hamburgers. And then this one about a year old Happy Meal

I feel dirty.

Today is Monday.

Hello, it's been too long. I guess we have been busy.

Amelie has been busy growing more teeth.

We've taken many trips to the park. Some bike rides, a jog, some visits with some friends, a couple of trips to Buster's and a little shopping on the side.

We also went to Cassie and Nate's reception on Saturday. We had a super fun time. Grandpa Stan and Amelie had a sleepover at his house, and our friends MIke and Julia stayed with us. Then on Sunday Tyler, Ami and I went to celebrate Evelyn's 2nd Birthday.

Our lives have gotten back to normal every day regular life stuff.

We celebrated all day long!

OMG it's all over. Its a relief and a bummer at the same time.

We had our wedding reception last Saturday at Gluek's. I think it went great. Tons of people showed up, the decorations looked awesome, the food was great, we went through lots of beer and wine, our photo booth guest book is filled to the max...

Tyler's parents threw a nice groom's dinner at Hell's Kitchen on Friday. It was nice that we got to spend some time with our families before the big day.

Before the reception started, Katrina from Studio Laguna Photography came over to take some shots of us and the rest of our family. She is the best. She knew exactly what she was doing. She can think on her feet, was in a great mood the whole time, and had some great ideas for photos. Her husband John and her both shot my sister Abby's wedding. They were so impressive that I didn't even look at any other photographers.

Here are 3 mini photos that she took, check out her blog for 5 others that she posted. Also, she has tons of great advice and cool photos.

We had The Traveling Photo Booth for some fun photos, I planted grass in recycled baby food jars and cans and my mom picked up a couple of mixed flower bouquets to put in old jars, we had some coloring books and crayons for the kids, and The Root City Band played. I had a great time, danced a lot, ate only a little, and mingled a lot.

I do wish that I had been able to talk to more people. The first half of the reception was difficult because Amelie was a bit tired and overwhelmed so she only wanted me to hold her...which made it difficult to socialize. We hired a great nanny through a friend so when she came to pick Ami up we were able to relax a little and have a beer.

It was pretty cool to have most of our family and friends in the same spot having a good time. I didn't take any photos myself, but once I get my hands on some, I will post and share. I do have a pic of cute little Amelie in her reception day dress...
